School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) was founded in 1989 and it is based in Patras. It is one of the seven Faculties of the University of Patras and includes six Departments:

The University was founded in November 1964 and is a nationally and internationally distinguished and renowned Institution of Higher Education, thanks to its diverse and innovative activity in the fields of both the natural sciences, engineering and health sciences as well as the humanities, social and economic sciences.
Its geographical position allows its contact with a rich natural environment and its multifaceted contribution to the flourishing of the wider area. Departments of the University are located in Patras, Messolonghi and Agrinio.
